Lazy Cookie Bars

Some Night’s getting the Cookie Scoop out is just too much work! Being able to slice them also works great for packing into kids lunch box’s, With the additional benefit of sourdough in these and lack of preservatives you can feel good about this sweet treat!

Preheat your Oven to 350.

Cream Together:
1 1/4 cup softened Butter
1 cup brown sugar (Light or Dark)
3/4 cup white sugar


Then add:
1/2 cup sourdough discard
2 eggs
1 Tbsp Vanilla


Once smooth and combined well add All your dry ingredients just until combined:
3 1/2 cups flour
1.5 tsp baking soda
1.5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sea salt

Next I like to line my baking sheet with Parchment paper and start pressing 1 cup of milk chocolate chips into the dough while stretching it to reach all the way to each edge of the pan- try to get it as even as possible. Feel free to top with extra chocolate chips or chocolate squares- M&M’s or Smarties are great here too! Bake for 25-30 Minutes or until golden on the edges- let Completely Cool before slicing!
